Rotation is at the foundation of most human movement, and certainly all sports, including martial arts.

Every human, martial artist or not, should be adept in rotating equally well in both directions. Most of us, however, struggle to rotate to one direction as well as the other.

Cleaning up this asymmetry will go far in helping you fortify your body against injuries, especially on the mat in a sport like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Once you learn how to rotate well in both directions, then you can add load to really take your strength and resilience to the next level. 

The goal is to get to a 50lb club for most men, but it starts with learning the proper technique first, which you can learn here in this week's video.
